CS GAS was founded in 2004 to service the coal seam gas industry, as a manufacturer of well control equipment and to provide related field and consulting services. CS GAS provides solutions, equipment and services to leading energy, gas and mining companies in Australia, China and New Zealand. CS GAS is based in Brisbane and has established a leading manufacturing facility for the production of specialist equipment for coal mine methane and coal seam gas applications.

CS GAS was established by Kevin Bridgeman and Brandon McCowan who have a combined 25 years in the coal seam gas industry. Today, the organisation is managed by a highly experienced team specialising in electrical, communications, instrumentation and the fabrication of pressure pipes and vessels. In addition to coal seam gas projects, CS GAS has engineering and manufactured solutions for UCG (underground coal gasification) projects and carbon capture projects. The organisations competitive advantage is a founded on solid understanding of coal seam gas extraction particularly from a field operations perspective, in conjunction with a team of engineers, project managers and specialised trades person for welding, fitting, electrical and instrumentation activities. This in-house team provides a single point of project responsibility for welding, fabrication and electrical components. In addition, CS GAS is a licensed electrical contractor (Queensland).

The Brisbane facilities are located in Willawong and Acacia Ridge. CS GAS also has operations in Mackay (Queensland) and Shanghai (China). CS GAS has implemented a Quality Management System in accordance with AS/NZS 9001, safety systems in accordance with AS/NZS 4801.
