Well Control & Monitoring Skid (ProSkid)

The ProSkid is a complete well control and monitoring solution that has been engineered specifically for coal seam gas production applications. The skid mounted system has been engineered to efficiently control electrically driven pumping systems and comprises of gas and water lines with pressure transmitter/flow meter, pre-wired and full commissioned. A customised electrical enclosure houses the variable speed drive (VSD), PLC and communication equipment. The ProSkid is accompanied with full documentation including hazardous area dossier and material certifications.

The ProSkid is mounted on a skid frame for efficient transportation and field commissioning. It is of robust construction and designed to withstand the rugged and extreme environmental conditions such as the heat in outback Australia and cold weather in China.

The HMI display provides operators in the field with real time data and system control. The ProSkid is SCADA compliant and may interface with users existing monitoring software/systems or with the CS GAS well control monitoring suite. Telemetry options include radio modem, 2G/3G router, Ethernet and fibre-optics.

The ProSkid products are an “off the shelf” solution with several design options for different types of well completions for example optional separators. CS GAS also manufactures to individual client projects requirements and to clients’ complete specifications and own design.

The ProSkid has been designed with a fold down electrical enclosure to enable stacking a second ProSkid on top in order to reduce transportation costs to the gas field (not available with Separator option). The ProSkid has a small footprint and can be easily delivered onsite via a standard car trailer, lowering the installation cost. A CS GAS ProSkid is typically installed, commissioned and is fully functional within a few hours and requiring minimal field labour, again lowering the total project cost.

The water and gas pipes are welded in accordance with AS 4041-2006 and ASME B31.3-2008. All fabricated pipe spools are tested and conform to AS 4037 pressure equipment examination and testing and ANSI B31.3 processing piping as a minimum. Wiring is in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 and Hazardous Area – Explosive gas atmospheres – is in accordance AS/NZS 60079.10.1 (IEC 60079.10.1).
